RRJ...

RRJ stands for Reading Response Journal.  I expect our children to read their AR book for twenty minutes each night.  After reading, they are to write in their reading response journal.  Each student has a journal prompt sheet in the front ot their binder.  This sheet tells them the prompt they are to write about eah night.  They are to copy the prompt on their journal page and then respond to it based on what they have read so far in their book (not just what they read that night).  Once students reach the required AR points for the nine weeks, they will be aloud to read books other than AR books.

Just a reminder...the RRJ is worth 30% of each child's language arts cummulative grade.

AR...

AR is required this nine weeks.  Students must have 15 AR points

Thank you for all you do to help our children succeed!
